strobo Matthias Friederich Julian von Klier is a graphic design studio, based in Berlin and Munich. The studios activities are focused on the concept and design of communicative narratives embracing all kind of printed matter as well as digital media, at best to be concentrated in graphic identities and spatial emergence.
Having started their collaboration while finishing their graduation at University of Arts, Berlin, an integral fundamental of the studios approach is formed by a close dialogical practice.
In 2012 Matthias Friederich and Julian von Klier have been awarded with a postgraduate fellow grant at the Institute for Spatial Experiments of Olafur Eliasson.
Since September 2012 strobo M. Friederich J. von Klier have been assigned to be responsible for the graphic identity of Kunsthalle Bielefeld. Lately the corporate design of Kunsthalle Bielefeld has been awarded with the German Design Award 2015.

Matthias Friederich was studying Visual Communication at University of Arts, Berlin, and Gerrit-Rietveld-Academy, Amsterdam. He has gained distinctive work experience in collaborating with Munich based design duo Thomas Mayfried and Swantje Grundler. Julian von Klier started his studies in graphic design at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd and later on proceeded the course at University of Arts, Berlin. Among others he worked with Büro für visuelle Kommunikation Rolf Müller, Munich, Brighten the Corners, London/Stuttgart and Studio Manuel Raeder, Berlin.
